South East Anime is a small but fun-minded group of anime fans, who get together in each other's homes, watch anime, lan, talk about merchandising and manga, look at the works of manga artists and doujins, and generally have a good time. If you need more information about SEA, what we're doing and where we're going, please contact Justin Semmel by ringing on 9544 7140 or email justin.semmel@gmail.com, or jump on to SEAnime via http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SEAnime/, our yahoo email list. Sign up there, and you'll get regular reminders of SEAnime events. This is highly recommended, as some updates in the past have been so last minute there has not been time to amend this page, never mind the posters in Alternate Worlds and Cybers.
There is generally a theme each time -- it's not just about watching shows. We meet at different places, especially where there's something to do or learn. Often enough, we'll end up talking about something relevant to anime fans, like who the best subtitlers are, or what a particular writer or director did in their career.
There was a special last-moment, mid-week SEA gathering for people going to Continuum 6. If this is the first you've heard of that session, then you've already missed it. As mentioned above, it pays to get yourself on the contact list. The next SEA get-together, for all-comers, is on at 1 p.m. 27 February 2010, at 1470 North Road, Clayton.
[The old MAS page can be located here -- but it's pretty out of date.]
