POPLM
Tutorial:
Updating
Prince of Persia's Levels File
This Tutorial assumes that RoomShaker is setup correctly on your system See Tutorials: Setting up RoomShaker & POPLM.
In this tutorial we will set your Prince of Persia
to use the Alternate1.set level-set file.
Alternate1.set comes included with RoomShaker and is in the Levels
folder within your RoomShaker installation folder.
If you are currently creating levels, turn them into a level set file now using POPLM see Tutorials: Creating Level Sets. This will backup your current changes so that you don't lose your changes.
With your level saved, load Prince of Persia
Levels Manager (POPLM).
Note: RoomShaker has a link to POPLM on the toolbar, you can click this button
and POPLM will open up.

POPLM defaults to Update POP mode, this is the mode we will be using.
Using the drives & folders boxes, navigate to the folder that the Alternate1.set file is in. My RoomShaker is installed into the folder E:\RS149 so I have navigated to the folder E:\RS149\LEVELS.

Notice that the path of the file is displayed
in the Selected File box?. This box tells us information on the
selected file.
Also, notice that the Description files (*.dsc) are hidden? this
is to make the files box a bit cleaner and prevent accidental selection of
the .dsc file instead of the level-set file.
From the Files box select the file ALTERNATE1.SET. Notice that there is now author and description information in the Selected File box?. This information is read from the file ALTERNATE1.dsc which was created when the level-set file was created.

Next, make sure that the file in the box marked Output File is your Prince of Persia levels.dat file. This filename is taken from your RoomShaker configuration file Files.ini. If this is not your PoP levels.dat then you need to setup your RoomShaker.
You are now ready to update Prince of Persia,
from the main menu, select Process -> Set Levels.
Your Prince of Persia is now updated with the Alternate1.set level-set file.
You can now modify these new levels with RoomShaker as well.
